The Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-signed free agent import offensive lineman Andre Douglas on Wednesday.
The club also announced the signing of import defensive lineman Andre Caroll.
Douglas played in all 18 games last season and two playoff games. Named Winnipeg's Most Outstanding Rookie in 2010, Douglas has only missed three games in his two seasons with the Blue Bombers. He attended training camp with the Dallas Cowboys in 2009 after being named Temple's top offensive lineman as a senior in 2008.
"We're happy to have Andre back with us for another season," general manager Joe Mack said. "Continuity along the offensive line is key and this signing allows us to keep another piece of last year's offensive line in tact."
Caroll attended training camp with the Blue Bombers last year but was cut and subsequently signed by the Cleveland Browns where he spent a portion of the team's training camp. As a senior at Delaware State, Caroll set a record for single-season tackles by a down lineman after recording 96, which ranked as the fifth highest in the conference.
