A star of Fake TV and of the CBC will team up this year to honour Canadian movies, at the 32nd annual Genie Awards.
SCTV's Andrea Martin and George Stroumboulopoulos, host of the CBC's flagship latenight talk show George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight, will share the host duties at the Genies, the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television announced Tuesday.
The awards will air March 8 on CBC.
In nominations previously announced, 13 Genie nominations went to Café de Flore from Jean-Marc Vallee (C.R.A.Z.Y.), an art-house rumination on love that starred Johnny Depp's significant other, Vanessa Paradis.
David Cronenberg followed closely behind with 11 nominations for A Dangerous Method, his portrait of the triangle between Freud (Viggo Mortensen), Jung (Michael Fassbender) and a female patient-turned-colleague (Keira Knightley).
