[SurroundSound] Re: SACD DVD-A CD player for under $200

I have *read* that some of the Yamaha players (you'll have to do the
research) in that price range sound pretty good. I had a Yamaha a
while back (don't remember it's model #, maybe 6700?) and it was
nice. But it broke on me after a year and I binned it.

Since then, I purchased Oppo players (BDP-83, BDP-93) exclusively and
have been quite satisified with their performance and relaibility.
But they both cost me $400-$500. Sometimes it is better to simply
hold off on the purchase until you can save the funds for a better and
more expensive player. This might be one of those occasions...Check
Audiogon.com for good deals on gently used equipment. But I can tell
you that the Oppos go VERY quickly there. They have earned a great
reputation and I think they deserve it...
