The Edmonton Oilers sent forward Linus Omark to the Oklahoma City Barons of the AHL on Wednesday and recalled defenceman Colten Teubert.
In five games this season, the 24-year-old Omark was held without a point. He split his time last season between Edmonton and Oklahoma City, appearing in 51 games for the Oilers and 28 for the Barons.
Teubert, 21, has yet to make his NHL debut. He has played 59 AHL games over the past two seasons, with four goals and 13 assists for Manchester and Oklahoma City.
Teubert will have a chance to play his first NHL game on Thursday night in Los Angeles. Teubert was a first-round pick of the Kings in 2008 (13th overall) before being traded to Edmonton for Dustin Penner at the 2011 trade deadline.
Omark has a European out-clause in this year of his deal. He could choose to go back to Europe rather than stay in the AHL.
