VANCOUVER -- The BC Lions are inviting fans back to their home stadium to celebrate the team's Grey Cup win.
The Lions defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 34-23 on Sunday at BC Place, and now the team is planning an event Wednesday evening to toast their victory.
BC Lions president Dennis Skulsky says the event will be free and the team hopes holding it in the evening will allow more families to attend.
Skulsky says the details are still being worked out, but he says fans will be treated with a video presentation, followed by an opportunity to get up close and personal with the Grey Cup.
More than 50,000 fans crowded into the newly renovated BC Place stadium to watch Sunday's game, which marked the 99th Grey Cup match.
