he Jets are travelling from Florida to New York without their best defenceman, according to The Winnipeg Free Press.
Tobias Enstrom left Monday's win over the Florida Panthers after taking a hit from Jack Skille (watch below) and has returned to Winnipeg. The rest of the team practiced in Florida and are now en route to New York for Thursday's game against the Islanders; they play the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers on this weekend.
Avoiding specifics, the Jets are calling Enstrom's ailment other an 'upper body' injury.
The 26 year-old Swede has one goal and five assists in 11 games, enough to lead all Jets defencemen.
The Jets have not yet made a decision on whether or not they plan to call up another defender from St. John's IceCaps as a replacement.
