{allcanada} CHL: Players of the week

TORONTO -- Jonathan Huberdeau of the Saint John Sea Dogs was named the Canadian Hockey League player of the week Tuesday.

The Florida Panthers prospect had three goals and three assists in two games with a rating of plus-6.

Huberdeau helped extend the Sea Dogs' win streak to seven games. He scored twice in Saint John's 6-3 victory over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles on Friday. He had a goal and three assists in a 6-0 decision over the Chicoutimi Sagueneens on Saturday.

Shane Prince of the Ottawa 67's and Cody Beach of the Moose Jaw Warriors were also considered for the award.

Also, Tyler Bunz of the Medicine Hat Tigers was selected as the CHL goaltender of the week.

The Edmonton Oilers prospect won two games -- including one with a shutout -- with a 1.00 goals-against-average and .966 save percentage.

Also considered for the award were Brandon Maxwell of the Sarnia Sting and Francois Lacerte of the Gatineau Olympiques.
