[SurroundSound] DTS WAVs No Longer Working With My Airport Express

I posted this at the AVSForums but got no responses. I used to be able
to stream multichannel DTS WAVs (DTS CD files) that I had ripped to ALAC
in iTunes to my Airport Express and on to my AVR via toslink with no
issues. The AVR recognized the files correctly and applied DTS decoding
and I got multichannel sound. I had not played any of them in quite a
while but recently discovered that they aren't working anymore. I feel
like I could possibly be overlooking something obvious, but did
something change in one of the iTunes or AirPort updates that will no
longer allow me to stream these files?
