Connolly (upper body) told head coach Ron Wilson after practice Tuesday that he was doubtful for the opener on Thursday against Montreal, TSN.ca reports.
Sabres fans know this all too well with Connolly, who's got one the league's better passing games when healthy but those times are often far and few between.
