Thanks for the advice guys, but i bit the bullet and got the Yammy on
the 10th. It was a gamble but appears to have payed off.
Would have prefered to get the Oppo for all the reasons that you said
(especially because im using PCM not dsd via HDMI)
I dont really need the networking (got a wdtv live) and couldnt afford
the extra £200 for the Oppo (got the Yammy for £299 new). Just bought
a sub and in the same week my Harmony remote was stepped on (Got a 50%
voucher though!), so been an expensive month.
Quite happy to burn the discs and play them. That's an understatement
- Im ecstatic to be playing the rips, but only the ones I own of
course.

Now I just need to sell my Oppo 980!
