I agree, most music over the last ten years has been recorded "in the
box" so to speak.

Call me old school, but what I disagree with is the practicality of
having a for lack of a better term "expensive Audiophile setup" and
trying to attach lower quality MP3 players or I-Pods with 128K files
and calling it superior.

While music directly out of a PC or Mac can definitely be equal if not
better to any gear out there, I find it an impractical way to enjoy
audio only as the whole process is distracting and is always there
reminding you you are not in the zone and the slave of the PC's needs
and wants, It is like having a bad girlfriend or wife in the listening
room b##G in the middle of everything you try to critically listen
too. My opinion. That shall be a laying off on the PC listening crowd.
That also could be a topic for opinion. Which do you like, Expensive
gear, or PC's, or both mix and match?

Back on target, I think my DL of the ISO is bad since another
participant states he can open it in WinRar. So back to the front I
go. If I can get WinRar to make heads or tails of it I am sure the
rest will fall into place. Another participant via HUB has transcoded
a few of the tracks to Flac so I am currently going to play with those
and see what we got. Hopefully they are not from the DTS CDR that was
in the past.
