TORONTO -- Rogers says it will not bid for the Canadian broadcast rights to the 2014 and 2016 Olympic Games.
Rogers Media president Keith Pelley says: "Scheduling conflicts, combined with our financial priorities, suggest that it's best for us not to be involved at this time."
Under the current agreement, Rogers Media is a 20 per cent stakeholder in the Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium, with the remaining 80 per cent interest controlled by CTV.
Rogers is part of the Canadian consortium that will broadcast the 2012 Summer Games from London.
