{allcanada} QMJHL: JURCO LEADS SEA DOGS TO WIN OVER ARMADA

Tomas Jurco made a splash in his return to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Wednesday.

The Detroit Red Wings prospect led the Saint John Sea Dogs to a 3-1 victory over the Blainville-Broisbriand Armada in his first game back after being cut from the NHL team's roster.

Jurco scored the game-winning goal with less than a minute to go in the second period and added an assist on Ryan Tesink's goal in the first.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Cape Breton 5 P.E.I. 2 and Victoriaville 6 Chicoutimi 5 (SO).

At Brosbriand, Que., Montreal Canadiens prospect Nathan Beaulieu had a power-play goal in the third period for the Sea Dogs (4-3-0).

Raphael Pouliot had the lone goal for the Armada (3-5-0).

At Sydney, N.S., captain Morgan Ellis had back-to-back power-play goals as Cape Breton (5-3-0) cruised past P.E.I (2-4-1).

At Chicoutimi, Que., Brandon Hynes and Yannick Dube scored in the shootout as Victoriaville (5-2-0) edged the Sagueneens (2-3-2).
