The Baie-Comeau Drakkar have seemingly righted the ship.
Tomas Filippi had a hat trick, including the eventual winner, as the Drakkar routed the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 7-3 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play Sunday.
Last season Baie-Comeau had the second-worst record in the league, winning just 12 of its 68 games and accumulating 34 points.
The Drakkar already have one-sixth of that win total this season, having triumphed in their first two games.
Carl Gelinas scored twice and added two assists as Baie-Comeau went 2-for-4 on the power play. Chicoutimi was 1-for-6 with the man advantage.
Antonio Mastropietro made 24 saves to earn the win for the Drakkar. Francis Desrosiers started in the Sagueneens' net, stopping 17 of 20 shots in 35:32 of work. He was replaced by Alexandre Michaud who turned aside eight of 12 shots.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Blainville-Boisbriand 4 Quebec 2 and Victoriaville 8 Rimouski 2.
At Baie-Comeau, Que., Frederic Gamelin had a power-play goal and three assists for the Drakkar (2-0), while Raphael Bussieres chipped in as well.
Jeremy Gregoire, Alexandre Lavoie and Luke St-Amand replied for Chicoutimi (1-1)

Armada 4 Remparts 2
At Quebec City, Ilya Nikolaev scored the winner at the 11:31 mark of the third period as Blainville-Boisbriand topped the Remparts.
Raphael Pouliot and Cedrick Paquette also scored for the Armada (2-0), while Christopher Clapperton put the puck into an empty net.
Mikael Tam had a power-play goal for Quebec (0-2), while Alexandre Comtois added a single.

At Rimouski, Que., Philippe Maillet struck five times as Victoriaville rocked the Oceanic.
Yanni Gourde had a goal and six assists for the Tigres (2-0), while Yannick Dube and Carl-Antoine Delisle chipped in as well.
Peter Trainor scored twice for Rimouski (0-2) on the power play.
