There's only one spot available in the Leafs' forward corps and Kadri is not guaranteed the job, reports the Toronto Star. He's one of four players who'll compete for the spot as winger on the third line.
The job beside Tyler Bozak(notes) and Colby Armstrong(notes) is the only one available and Leafs president and general manager Brian Burke says "we do want to have competition for the spot." Kadri, who has been converted to wing, will compete with Joe Colborne(notes), Phillipe Dupuis and Matt Frattin(notes) for the job and he'll have to wow Leafs brass with smart two-way play in camp to earn that job.
