Receiver Andy Fantuz is undergoing a physical with the Saskatchewan Roughriders this morning and is expected to play this weekend against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Fantuz was waived by the NFL's Chicago Bears on Friday and was allowed 10 days to entertain other NFL opportunities. Since he accepted no other offers, he is obligated to fulfil the option year of his CFL contract with Saskatchewan.
Fantuz was on the Riders sidelines during the team's 27-7 Labour Day Classic win over the Blue Bombers last Sunday.
The University of Western Ontario product was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian last season after leading the league in receiving with 1,380 yards and 87 receptions.
