Rome (broken finger) is expected to miss four-to-six weeks, the Canucks' official site reports.
Rome's injury will open up an additional spot on the Canucks' back end. Alex Sulzer, Yann Sauve(notes) and Ryan Parent(notes) are all in competition to fill in for Rome.
