Arland Bruce wasn't at practice for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Tuesday and won't be playing when they head to Calgary this weekend.
It's been a frustrating season for the 33-year-old, who is coming off a rare no-catch game against Montreal on the weekend, as he continues to be bothered by nagging injuries.
The latest of those -- a hamstring pull and an eye infection-- have him out of the lineup this week as the Cats move on with a group of young receivers who've been a big part of Hamilton's three-game win streak.
Bruce, head coach Marcel Bellefeuille and general manager Bob O'Billovich, met late on Monday to clear the air regarding Bruce's frustrations about his health and his not being more involved in the Hamilton offence so far this season.
He is expected to be at practice for the rest of the week but has not been given medical clearance to participate.
The Cats hope some time to heal will help him find the form which allowed him to rack up 86 catches for 1,303 yards and eight touchdowns a year ago. This season, he has just nine catches for 104 yards in the four games he has played.
Bruce was acquired by Hamilton two seasons ago after he fell out of favour with former Argo head coach Bart Andrus.
He was the subject of trade rumours earlier this season but the club has stated it has no plans to deal or release him.
