{allcanada} Martin Short to Recur on How I Met Your Mother

Who's the boss on How I Met Your Mother? Not Dave Foley anymore.

Martin Short will replace Foley as Marshall's new boss next season, a show rep confirms. The Kids in the Hall star appeared in the season finale as Marshall's potential new boss at an environmental law firm, but won't be available next season now that CBS has picked up his sitcom, How to Be a Gentleman. (You'd think CBS could work something out for its own shows.)

It's unclear whether Short will take over Foley's part or play a new character. Short, who had an Emmy-nominated turn on Damages last year, is appearing on the current season of Weeds.
