George Stroumboulopoulos has landed the big one.
The Strombo Show host goes one-on-one with Prime Minister Stephen Harper as they will chat about the Vancouver Canucks' magical playoff run and other hockey topics.
The interview, which takes place at the Prime Minister's office in Ottawa, will air during Scotiabank Hockey Tonight on Saturday night (CBC, CBCSports.ca, 4:30 p.m./7:30 p.m. ET) prior to Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Boston Bruins and Canucks.
George will no doubt get the prime minister's reaction to the passionate Canadian hockey fans, who are not only reveling in the success of the Canucks, but are still celebrating Winnipeg's return to the NHL.
Vancouver's thrilling Game 1 victory Wednesday night on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada was enjoyed by a record-breaking average audience of 5.6 million, beating out the 4.96 million viewers the Canucks and New York Rangers drew during Game 7 of the 1994 Cup final.
The city of Winnipeg, meanwhile, was officially welcomed back into the NHL fold on Tuesday.
