The Edmonton Eskimos agreed to terms with non-import defensive lineman Ted Laurent on Thursday.
Laurent is expected to arrive Friday and will report to training camp on Sunday.
"Ted has agreed to terms on a two year deal plus an option," Eskimo general manager Eric Tillman said. "We're delighted to have him join our club as we believe Ted represents another step in significantly upgrading our Canadian nucleus."
Laurent was selected by the Eskimos in the 2011 CFL Supplemental Draft in exchange for the club's second round pick in the 2012 CFL Canadian Draft.
A native of Montreal, Laurent started over 20 games at defensive tackle and noseguard during his time at the University of Mississippi, and was an invitee to the 2011 East-West Shrine game.
