VANCOUVER -- Vancouver Canucks centre Manny Malhotra practised with the team Friday as they prepared for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup final with the Boston Bruins.
Malhotra was cleared to play before the series after suffering a serious eye injury March 16th against the St. Louis Blues.
The Mississauga, Ont., native underwent a number of surgical procedures to save his vision.
Absent from Canucks practice Friday was defenceman Dan Hamhuis.
Hamhuis limped off the ice in the second period of Vancouver's 1-0 victory over the Bruins in Game 1 on Wednesday.
He appeared to suffer a lower body injury either when he sent Boston's Milan Lucic flying head-over-skates with a hip check, or when David Krejci cross-checked him in retaliation.
Game 2 goes Saturday in Vancouver.
