Two weeks after his first victory in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, Andrew Ranger finished fifth in the Messina Wildlife Animal Stopper 150, joining fellow Quebec native Maryeve Dufault in the top 10 and giving the ARCA Racing Series two Canadian drivers in the top 10 for the first time since September 19, 2009.

That day, Steve Arpin finished fifth and Terry Jones finished seventh at Salem Speedway.

Ranger is from Roxton Pond, Quebec. Dufault is from Sorel, approximately 55 miles to the northwest.

Despite having previously called his entry at Chicagoland a "one-shot deal," Ranger mentioned over the weekend that he may try to enter at the DuQuoin (Ill.) State Fairgrounds on September 5.

Hackenbracht Scores Awards: Though his chances for a first career victory slipped away with his blown right front tire on Lap 85, Chad Hackenbracht and the No. 58 CGH Motorsports Chevrolet left Chicagoland Speedway with the $500 Aaron's Lap Leader Award and the $500 Messina Halfway Leader Award. Hackenbracht led 45 laps, more than any other driver, and his total included Lap 50, the halfway point of the 100-lap race.

Hackenbracht's success for much of the race did inspire more confidence for upcoming speedway races at Pocono and Michigan.

"For Pocono, with our new personnel changes, (crew chief) Rob (Torrey) is going to be really good," Hackenbracht said. "He's had success there. (Director of competition) Kevin Reed also, he sat on the pole there last year by nine tenths. I love Pocono."

Reed, who previously worked at Venturini Motorsports, was the crew chief for Mikey Kile last June at Pocono. Kile won the Menards Pole Award presented by Ansell over Frank Kimmel by 0.853 second, a difference of 2.604 mph on the 2.5-mile triangle.

Brevak, Dufault Earn First Career Top-10s: Brent Brevak (No. 3 Brevak Racing Dodge) finished ninth, his best career result. Maryeve Dufault (No. 12 VR-12/Dodge Motorsports Dodge) also had her best finish, 10th place.

Brevak's finish helped him win the CGS Imaging Hard Charger of the Race Award. After starting 19th, Brevak's improvement of 10 positions matched the same high improvement for Dufault - among drivers carrying the CGS Imaging decal - but Brevak won the tiebreaker based on having the higher finishing position. jonesrobchicagoland11.jpg

Stefan "Bear" Rzesnowiecky finished 11th in his ARCA debut. Rzesnowiecky was entered in the race as a winner of the Richard Petty Driving Search.

Rob Jones (right) earned a career high, finishing 14th. Previously, his best finish was 21st at Toledo Speedway in May 2010. Jones' Hixson Motorsports teammate Levi Youster finished one spot back, matching a career high that he achieved twice last season.

Benny Chastain's 16th-place finish was his best result in 35 ARCA Racing Series starts since 2004.
