[SurroundSound] Software to play Multichannel FLAC

Hi all,
I used DVD Audio Extracted to convert my DVD-A collection to
multichannel FLAC files.
I have a HTPC connected to my receiver via HDMI. When I try to play
the files using VLC player or XBMC, I only see a 2.0 stream in my
receiver. Is there any specific software that I should be using to
play it in 5.1 ?
