Brayden Schenn and Stefan Elliott each had two goals and an assist as the Saskatoon Blades beat the Edmonton Oil Kings 8-5 in Western Hockey League action Wednesday.
Marek Viedensky, Jake Trask, Levi Bews and Darian Dziurzynski also scored for the WHL-leading Blades (49-13-2).
Dylan Wruck, Rhett Rachinski, Klarc Wilson, Michael St. Croix and Jordan Hickmott replied for the Oil Kings (29-29-7), who led 4-2 after the first period.
Elsewhere in the WHL it was: Brandon 4 Kootenay 0; Kelowna 6 Kamloops 2; and Chilliwack 3 Lethbridge 1.
At Edmonton, Steven Stanford earned the win in goal for Saskatoon, stopping 26 of 28 shots after replacing starter Adam Morrison. Morrison allowed three goals on six shots.
Laurent Brossoit stopped 30 shots for Edmonton.
Wheat Kings 4 Ice 0
At Brandon, Man., Cobin Boes made 40 saves for his first WHL shutout as the Kings defeated Kootenay.
Matt MacKay, Brodie Melnychuk, Shayne Wiebe and David Toews scored for the Wheat Kings (28-29-8).
Nathan Lieuwen made 30 saves for the Ice (40-20-4).

At Kamloops, B.C., Evan Bloodoff scored two goals as Kelowna downed the Blazers.
Geordie Wudrick, Tyrell Goulbourne, Cody Chikie and Mitchell Callahan also scored for Kelowna (37-25-1).
Colin Smith and Jordan DePape replied for Kamloops (29-32-4).

Bruins 3 Hurricanes 1
At Chilliwack, B.C., Jamie Crooks scored the eventual winner with just 4:29 left to push the Bruins over Lethbridge.
Crooks also added an empty-net goal for the Bruins (27-30-5), while Brandon Manning also scored.
Austin Fyten replied for the Hurricanes (21-30-13).
