Felipe Corbo and Samuel Morneau scored in the shootout as the P.E.I. Rocket slipped past the Hallifax Mooseheads 4-3 in QMJHL action Wednesday night.
Matthew Hobbs had a pair of goals for the Rocket in regulation, but couldn't score in the first round of the shootout.
Although P.E.I. has already clinched a playoff spot, the win can help it improve its seeding for the 16-team tournament.
The Rocket moved to within three points of the idle Victoriaville Tigres and Moncton Wildcats, both of which were idle Wednesday.
Martin Frk scored in the shootout for the Mooseheads, who are also guaranteed a playoff spot, but Matthew Boudreau and Carl Gelinas couldn't find the back of the net.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Quebec 5 Chicoutimi 2 and Baie-Comeau 4 Val-d'Or 3.
At Halifax, Travis McIsaac forced extra time for P.E.I. (30-24-9).
Frk had a power-play goal for the Mooseheads (19-40-4), while Konrad Abeltshauser and Charles Bety also scored.

Remparts 5 Sagueneens 2
At Quebec City, Louis Domingue made 27 saves as the Remparts beat Chicoutimi.
Joel Champagne, Ryan Culkin, Tomas Filippi, Vincent Barnard and Mikael Tam scored for Quebec (45-15-4).
Guillaume Asselin and Alexandre Roy replied for the Sagueneens (27-26-11).

At Baie-Comeau, Que., Alexandre Durette scored twice as the Drakkar edged Val-d'Or.
Raphael Bussieres and Gabriel Verpaelst also scored for Baie-Comeau (12-43-9).
Jonathan Hazen scored twice while Nicolas Larocque-Marcoux also scored for the Foreurs (23-33-8).
