Carson Dubchak and Daniel Catenacci scored shootout goals to give the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds a 5-4 win over the Saginaw Spirit in Ontario Hockey League action Wednesday.
The Greyhounds have won three straight and four of their last five.
The Spirit have now lost five of their last six games since winning five straight in mid-February.
The Greyhounds trailed 3-2 heading into the third and took the lead when Nick Cousins and Dubchak scored 2:12 apart early in the period.
Ryan O'Connor's point shot tied the game for the Spirit midway through the third.
Saginaw's Vincent Trochek took a penalty in overtime but the Greyhounds couldn't capitalize, sending the game into the shootout. Trochek scored the lone shootout goal for the Spirit.
Elsewhere in the OHL it was: Ottawa 5 Kingston 1; and Oshawa 5 Belleville 2.
At Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Dubchak, Brett Findlay and Colin Miller had a goal and an assist each for the Greyhounds (23-33-8) while Catenacci set up a pair of goals in the win. Cousins had the other goal for the Greyhounds.
O'Connor and Ivan Telegin had a goal and an assist each for the Spirit (38-20-5) while Mathew Sisca added a pair of assists in the loss. Josh Shalla and Jordan Szwarz also scored for the Spirit.
Greyhounds goaltender Chris Perugini stopped 26 shots in the win while Saginaw goaltender Mavric Parks stopped 20 in the loss.
The win marks just the third victory for the Greyhounds when trailing after two periods.

At Kingston, Ont., Tyler Toffoli scored twice as the Ottawa beat the Frontenacs.
Thomas Nesbitt, Sean Monahan and Dalton Smith also scored for Ottawa (42-19-3).
Conor Stokes replied for Kingston (28-27-8).

At Belleville, Ont., Christian Thomas had a goal and two assists as Oshawa beat the Bulls.
Tony DeHart, Andy Andreoff, Nicklas Jensen and Lucas Lessio also scored for Oshawa (25-17-10).
Andy Bathgate and Braeden Corbeth scored for Belleville (19-40-4).
