TORONTO -- Canada will kick off its Gold Cup soccer campaign this summer against the U.S. in Detroit.
The Canadian men have been drawn in a group with the Americans, Panama and Guadeloupe in the CONCACAF championship, which covers North and Central America and the Caribbean.
Canada will open June 7 at Ford Field against the U.S.
The Canadians will then play Guadeloupe in Tampa on June 11 and Panama in Kansas City on June 14.
The final of the 12-team tournament will be played June 25 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.
