CRANBROOK, B.C. - Cody Eakin had two goals and three assists to lead the Kootenay Ice to an 8-0 win over the Calgary Hitmen in WHL action on Tuesday night.
Brayden McNabb, Matt Fraser, Jesse Ismond, Joe Antilla, Erik Benoit and John Niebrandt had the other goals for the Ice (33-16-3). Goaltenders Nathan Lieuwen and Brett Teskey combined to stop 32 shots to share the shutout.
Lieuwen turned aside 27 shots before being injured in a third-period collision. Teskey made five saves in the nearly 12 minutes of playing time he received after replacing Lieuwen
Brandon Glover and Mike Snider combined to make 27 saves for Calgary (15-34-3).
