Prolific pop-punk pranksters NOFX will be in full effect in Canada this summer.
The veteran California quartet fronted by Fat Mike Burnett have just announced they will cross the country in June and July on their Great White NO(FX)rth Tour, playing 14 shows in 11 cities.
The trek — the band's first Canadian tour in 17 years — opens June 14 in St. John's, Nfld. and wraps up in Vancouver with a pair of shows on Canada Day and July 2.
Tickets for many of the dates go on sale Friday at Ticketmaster and cost about $40 - $45. Teenage Bottlerocket and Old Man Markley will open the shows.
Over the past 28 years, NOFX have released 11 studio albums, a pair of live discs and more than two dozen EPs of rambunctious, irreverent pop- punk. Their next album is slated to be a collection of hardcore covers, due this summer.
