The Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday loaned 19-year-old forward Jerry D'Amigo to the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League.

D'Amigo has played in 41 games for the Leafs' AHL farm team, the Toronto Marlies, this season, scoring 5 goals and adding 9 assists for 14 points, along with 23 penalty minutes. He also represented the United States and won a bronze medal at the 2011 World Junior Hockey Championships in Buffalo, going 1-1-2 in six games. In 2009, he was a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. team.

D'Amigo, a sixth-round pick in the 2009 Entry Draft, signed with the Leafs last summer after one season playing at RPI, where he was named the ECAC Rookie of the Year after scoring 10 goals and finishing with 34 points in 36 games. Kitchener held his junior hockey rights.
