DEER VALLEY, Utah -- Canadian Jennifer Heil won the women's moguls title Wednesday in her final appearance at the world freestyle skiing championships.
The skier from Spruce Grove, Alta., who recently announced plans to retire at the season's end, scored 24.35 points on a four-medal day for the national team.
Heil edged Olympic champion Hannah Kearney of the United States, who took the silver with a score of 24.31.
Kristi Richards of Summerland, B.C., the 2007 world champion, won the bronze with 23.71.
Olympic champion Alexandre Bilodeau captured silver in the men's moguls earlier on the opening day of the event. The 23-year-old from Montreal scored 25.66 points at Deer Valley, Utah.
Teammate Mikael Kingsbury, an 18-year-old from Deux-Montagnes, Que., won the bronze with a score of 25.57.
Guilbaut Colas of France captured the gold with 26.26 points.
Bilodeau won the moguls to give Canada its first gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
