Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-signed free agent linebacker Joe Lobendahn on Tuesday.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
"We're very fortunate to be able to lock up another one of our own free agents," said vice president and general manager Joe Mack. "Joe is one of the hardest hitters in the league and has become a true leader on our team. He brings a veteran presence to our locker room and we're glad to have him return."
Lobendahn, 28, had three sacks, one fumble recovery, 55 tackles and 12 special teams stops in 17 starts last season.
Over his three-year career -- all with Winnipeg -- he has registered 148 tackles, five sacks, three fumble recoveries, including one for a touchdown, and 20 special teams tackles.
