Do you have any details on which PC you use - like a manual? And yes
soundcard is ultra important. You do not mention what software your PC is
so we're gonna have to start from basics...

I thought I would try this twonky server, but you think foobar or winamp
would do the trick for what i want in playing back lossless audio tracks
etc?
I am using the cord that looks like a phone cord sort of, the same thing
that the internet is connected to.
