{allcanada} WHL: WEAL'S OT WINNER LEADS PATS OVER WARRIORS

Jordan Weal scored the overtime winner to lead the Regina Pats to a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors in the Western Hockey League Saturday night.

Weal also scored with his goalie pulled and less than a minute left in the third to force the overtime period.

Lyndon Martell had a goal and an assist for Regina (18-25-7), while Brandon Davidson also scored. Myles Bell had three assists and Garrett Mitchell with two.

Sebastian Svendsen struck twice for Moose Jaw (31-18-3) and Brett Lyon also found the back of the net.

Halfway through the game the Warriors were up 3-0 and appeared to have the game under control.

But Moose Jaw let that lead slip away, allowing Regina to score four in a row and steal the win.

Weal's two goals give him 25 on the season and keep him amongst the top 10 in league scoring.

Matt Hewitt made 25 saves for the win, Thomas Heemskerk stopped 24 shots.

Elsewhere in the WHL it was: Kamloops 5 Chilliwack 1; Edmonton 4 Prince Albert 2; Everett 4 Prince George 2; Kelowna 7 Vancouver 3; Kootenay 4 Lethbridge 3 (OT); Medicine Hat 4 Brandon 3; Red Deer 5 Calgary 3; Portland 5 Seattle 2; Tri-City 5 Spokane 4 and Saskatoon 3 Swift Current 1.

Blazers 5 Bruins 1

At Chilliwack, B.C., Dylan Willick and Thomas Frazee both had a pair of goals as Kamloops sailed past the Bruins.

JT Barnett scored and added two assists for the Blazers (22-28-3).

Roman Horak was the lone scorer for Chilliwack (21-24-4).

Oil Kings 4 Raiders 2

At Edmonton, Dylan Wruck had a pair of goals as the Oil Kings rallied past Prince Albert.

Klarc Wilson and T.J.Foster also scored as Edmonton (23-24-3) reeled off four unanswered goals in the second and third periods.

Todd Fiddler and Justin Maylan staked the Raiders (19-27-5) to a 2-0 lead by the 2:43 mark of the second period.

Silvertips 4 Cougars 2

At Everett, Wash., Tyler Maxwell scored twice leading the Silvertips to victory over Prince George.

Clayton Cumiskey and Josh Birkholz also scored and Ryan Murray added three assists for Everett (20-23-7), which won back-to-back games for the first time since Dec. 18.

Charles Inglis and Brett Connolly scored for the Cougars (24-23-3).

Rockets 7 Giants 3

At Kelowna, B.C., Geordie Wudrick's hat trick fuelled the Rockets to a rout of Vancouver.

Zach Franko, Shane McColgan, Brett Bulmer and Mitchell Callahan rounded out the attack for Kelowna (29-20-0).

Brendan Rowinski had a pair of goals for the Giants (26-20-5), while Greg Lamoureux added a single.

Ice 4 Hurricanes 3 (OT)

At Cranbrook, B.C., forward Elgin Pearce scored at 3:21 of overtime in Kootenay's win over Lethbridge.

Max Reinhart and James Martin had a goal and an assist for the Ice (32-16-3) in regulation time. Drew Czerwonka added a single.

Mitch Maxwell, Max Ross and Reid Jackson supplied the offence for the Hurricanes (17-24-10).

Tigers 4 Wheat Kings 3

At Medicine Hat, Alta., captain Wacey Hamilton had a goal and two assists to lead his Tigers past Brandon.

Kale Kessy, Linden Vey, Wacey Hamilton and Cole Grbavac also scored for Medicine Hat (32-15-2).

Ryan Pulock, Shayne Wiebe and Mark Stone replied for the Wheat Kings (18-27-8).

Rebels 5 Hitmen 3

At Red Deer, Alta., Byron Froese fired three goals to lead the Rebels in a victory over Calgary.

John Persson and Matt Dumba also scored for Red Deer (35-12-5) which has won 11 consecutive games.

Ben Wilson, John Lawrence and Cody Sylvester replied for the Hitmen(15-32-3).

Winterhawks 5 Thunderbirds 2

At Kent, Wash., Ty Rattie scored his 22nd goal of the season and added an assist in the third period to lift Portland over Seattle.

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Brad Ross, Ryan Johanssen, Craig Cunningham also scored for the Winterhawks (34-15-3) and an empty-net score by William Wrenn in the win.

Travis Toomey and Marcel Noebels scored for the Thunderbirds (18-23-9).

Americans 5 Chiefs 4

At Spokane, Wash., Mason Wilgosh put the game away with 37 seconds left in the third period as Tri-City edged the Chiefs.

Adam Hughesman, Brendan Shinnimin and Patrick Holland all had a goal and an assist for the Americans (31-13-3), while Connor Rankin added a single.

Steven Kuhn led Spokane (31-13-6) with a hat trick. Tyler Johnson had a marker of his own.

Blades 3 Broncos 1

At Swift Current, Sask., Saskatoon stretched its current winning streak to five games by skating past the Broncos.

Jake Trask and Brayden Schenn both had a goal and an assist as the Blades (38-10-2) added to its Eastern Conference-leading record. Matej Stransky also scored.

Brad Hoban opened scoring for Swift Current (23-30-1), which has now lost six in a row.
