ST. MORITZ, Switzerland -- Canada's Mellisa Hollingsworth captured a silver medal at a World Cup skeleton competition Friday.
The 30-year-old native of Eckville, Alta., finished with a combined two-run time of two minutes 19.41 seconds.
Shelley Rudman of Britain won gold in 2:19.17 while Germany's Anja Huber took the bronze with a time of 2:19.43.
Hollingsworth has won five silvers and a bronze on the legendary St. Moritz track, the only non-refrigerated course in the world.
"It is such a privilege to slide here," she said. "I said that word to myself as I put my sled down on the start line and I think when you have that mindset it puts you in a good place."
Darla Deschamps of Calgary was fourth for the second straight week with a time of 2:19.61.
On the men's side, Martins Dukurs of Latvia sealed the World Cup title by winning his fourth race of the season in 2:16.54, edging Frank Rommel of Germany by 0.35 seconds.
New Zealand got its first-ever podium finish in skeleton as Ben Sandford placed third, trailing Dukurs by 0.80.
Top Canadian was Toronto's Michael Douglas in sixth. Jon Montgomery of Russell, Man., was eighth while Calgary's John Fairbairn had his career-best result in 10th.
"Everyone is working so well together," Hollingsworth said of the Canadian team. "We sit down together and review corner-by-corner after every run and we are all learning from each other. It is such a comfortable, trusting environment that is breeding success."
