The Saint John Sea Dogs continue to dominate the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Michael Kirkpatrick had back-to-back goals and two assists as the Sea Dogs crushed the Halifax Mooseheads 9-2 on Saturday night.
Saint John has won four games in a row, keeping them at the top of the QMJHL's standings and the Canadian Hockey League's weekly power rankings.
The Sea Dogs' league-best offence added to its total of 192 goals as six different players scored in the victory.
Victory was never in doubt after Saint John jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first period and the scored four more in the second.
The Sea Dogs went 4-for-6 on the power play, while the Mooseheads were 2-for-6.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Montreal 6 Val-d'Or 4; Victoriaville 3 Chicoutimi 2 (SO); Acadie-Bathurst 9 Cape Breton 3; P.E.I. 6 Rimouski 2 and Lewiston 6 Rouyn-Noranda 1.
At Halifax, Steven Anthony also had back-to-back goals and added an assist for Saint John (33-5-2). Nathan Beaulieu had a pair of goals, while Jonathan Huberdeau scored and had four assists. Zack Phillips and Mike Thomas added singles.
Charles Bety and Brent Andrews supplied the offence for the Mooseheads (14-26-2).

Juniors 6 Foreurs 4
At Verdun, Que., recently acquired Viktor Hertzberg had back-to-back goals as Montreal topped Val-d'Or.
Trevor Parkes had a pair of goals and an assist for the Juniors (27-6-7), while Jonathan Narbonne also scored. Jeremy Gouchie added some insurance with an empty-net goal.
Nicolas Larocque-Marcoux had a hat trick for the Foreurs (16-22-3). Jonathan Hazen assisted on all three goals and had a short-handed goal of his own.

Tigres 3 Sagueneens 2 (SO)
At Victoriaville, Que., Brandon Hynes and Philippe Maillet scored in the shootout as the Tigres edged Chicoutimi.
Pierre-Luc Pelletier and Guillaume Goulet both scored in the second period as Victoriaville (22-18-3) rallied to force overtime.
Charles Hudon had a short-handed goal for the Sagueneens (15-18-8), while Steve Lebel's marker in the second period gave Chicotuimi a 2-0 lead.

Titan 9 Screaming Eagles 3
At Bathurst, N.B., Zach O'Brien struck twice on the power play and had two assists to power the Titan past Cape Breton.
Sebastien Trudeau opened scoring for Acadie-Bathurst (26-14-1) with two quick goals in the first four minutes of play. Gabriel Levesque also scored with the man advantage and setup four other goals. Jordan Murray, Jeremie Malouin, Marc-Olivier Mimar and David Gilbert rounded out the attack.
Denis Kindl had a pair of goals for the Screaming Eagles (12-28-3), while Raman Hrabarenka added a single.

Rocket 6 Oceanic 2
At Charlottetown, Travis McIsaac had the first and last goal of the game as P.E.I. flew by Rimouski.
Ben Duffy, Alex Noel, Samuel Morneau and Philippe Paradis supplied the rest of the offence for the Rocket (20-18-3).
Jerome Gauthier-Leduc and Alex Emond replied for the Oceanic (21-21-2).

Maineiacs 6 Huskies 1
At Lewiston, Maine, Michael Chaput had two power-play goals as the Maineiacs rolled Rouyn-Noranda.
Etienne Brodeur scored his league-leading 32nd goal for Lewiston (28-14-2). Samuel Carrier, Jess Tanguy and Cameron Critchlow chipped in as well.
Jason Houde had the only goal for the Huskies (7-33-3).
