{allcanada} HODGSON, CHYZ STILL PERFECT AT CANADIAN JUNIOR CURLING

CALGARY -- Hometown favourites Colin Hodgson and Nadine Chyz are still prefect after three draws at the Canadian junior curling championships.

Hodgson, from Calgary, upended New Brunswick's Jon Rennie 8-4 in Draw 3 action Sunday. Chyz, also of Calgary, downed New Brunswick's Jennifer Armstrong by a count of 10-3.

Both Alberta rinks sit at 3-0, while both Rennie and Armstong dropped to 1-2.

Saskatchewan's Braeden Moskowy and Newfoundland and Labrador's Colin Thomas joined Hodgson atop the men's standings after a Draw 3 wins. Moskowy's rink downed Colin Miller (0-3) of the Northwest Territories 9-6, while Thomas whipped the Yukon's Thomas Scoffin (1-2) by a count of 12-3.

On the women's side, Trish Paulson of Saskatchewan is the only other undefeated rink after dismantling Taryn Williams (0-3) of the Northwest Territories 13-3.

Yukon's Sarah Koltun beat Newfoundland and Labrador's Erin Porter 6-5. Koltun is at 2-1, while Porter dropped to 0-3. P.E.I.'s Sarah Fullerton is at 2-1 after losing 8-4 to Ontario's Clancy Grandy (1-1). B.C.'s Dailene Sivertson (1-1) got her first win with a 10-5 triumph over Quebec's Alanna Routledge (1-2).

In other men's action, Quebec's Vincent Bourget is at 2-1 after beating Jonathan Gardner (0-2) of B.C. by a score of 8-7. Ontario's Mat Camm improved to 1-1 with an 11-7 win over Spencer Pitre of P.E.I. (1-2). Northern Ontario's Cody Johnston (1-2) got his first win, downing Mantoba's Sam Good 8-5. Good's rink also sits at 1-2.
