MOSCOW -- Canadian Jamie Gregg won silver Friday in a 500-metre World Cup speedskating race, finishing behind Pekka Koskela of Finland.
Koskela won in 35.15 seconds, 0.08 seconds ahead of the 25-year-old from Edmonton. Dutch skater Jacques de Koning was another 0.01 seconds behind for third.
In the women's 500, world record-holder Jenny Wolf of Germany earned her 44th World Cup win and sixth of this season in the division.
The Vancouver Olympic silver medallist won in 37.90 seconds. Margot Boer was second in 38.56 and Heather Richardson was third in 38.57.
Top Canadian was Winnipeg's Shannon Rempel in seventh in 39.13.
