[SurroundSound] Re: Proposal: Upmix to 4.0 as well as 5.1

First I'd like to thank everyone whos work I'm enjoying listening Pink
Floyd's WYWH quad release. Having said this IMHO missing sub-channel
on this release is a huge disappointment. On CD on "Machine" bass is
rambling down to 15Hz. I have decent Polk RT800i (42Hz @-3dB) but they
can't compete with DIY sub (28Hz @ -3dB, 105SPL, non-vented). As a
result I've lost all bass on 4.0 release because my receiver (Onkyo
SR608) will not convert 4.0 to 4.1

So my suggestion is 4.1 – no center (converting L/R into L/C/R, though
possible, does change sound, especially if LCR are not perfectly
matched) but do have subwoofer channel (below 80Hz, as per spec)
