Montreal police have recovered some of the items stolen from Pat Burns's family after the former NHL coach's funeral earlier this week.
Police say two suitcases were found Thursday containing some of the stolen items.
The suitcases were found near the Mary Queen of the World Cathedral in downtown Montreal where Burns's funeral took place on Monday.
Police say the suitcases were given back to police by a citizen but that 30 autographed NHL jerseys are still missing, as well as a watch.
Thieves smashed a window of a car belonging to Burns's widow, Line, early on Tuesday morning, less than a day after the funeral for the legendary coach.
They made off with the jerseys, which were to be auctioned to raise money for an arena in Stanstead, Que., named after Burns, along with credit cards, a watch, an iPad, jewelry, photos and clothes.
About 1,500 people attended the funeral on Monday, including politicians, legendary hockey players and coaches, and members of the public.
