{allcanada} REPORT: ALS TO REST CALVILLO VS. ARGOS; MCPHERSON TO START AT QB

It appears as though the Montreal Alouettes are already planning for the playoffs as RDS is reporting that Anthony Calvillo will not play this week when the Als host the Toronto Argonauts Sunday in the regular season finale.

According to RDS, backup Adrian McPherson will get the start at quarterback.

The announcement comes on the same day that Calvillo was named the CFL's Most Oustanding Offensive Player of the Week after passing for 412 yards and three touchdowns in a Week 18 victory over the Argos.

The move is precautionary as the Alouettes have already locked up top spot in the East and will host the Eastern Division final between the winner of the first round playoff encounter between the Argonauts and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

RDS is also reporting that defensive back Diamond Ferri will miss Sunday's game with a knee injury.
