MONTREAL (AP)—Players, coaches and executives from across hockey are gathering for the funeral of Pat Burns.
Burns coached New Jersey to the Stanley Cup title in 2003. The police officer-turned-hockey coach also had successful runs in Montreal, Toronto and Boston before coming to the Devils.
The entire roster of the Devils is on hand for Monday's afternoon service. Also in attendance at the cathedral in Montreal are NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, Raymond Bourque, Patrick Roy, Tie Domi, Luc Robitaille and Toronto Maple Leafs executives Brian Burke and Cliff Fletcher.
Burns died of cancer this month at 58.
