SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP)—Dany Heatley(notes) scored, Antero Niittymaki(notes) made 19 saves and the San Jose Sharks beat the Vancouver Canucks 6-2 on Wednesday night in an exhibition game.
Andreas Lilja(notes), Joe Pavelski(notes), Logan Couture(notes), Jamie McGinn(notes) and John McCarthy(notes) also scored for the Sharks (2-4), who will fly to Mannheim, Germany, on Thursday for their final exhibition game against Adler Mannheim on Saturday.
Raffi Torres(notes) had two goals for the Canucks (2-5), who finish the preseason at Anaheim on Friday. Eddie Lack(notes) stopped 24 shots.
