The Ottawa Senators team doctor remains in hospital in critical condition after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on Saturday.
Dr. Donald Chow, 53, was driving his motorcycle on Fisher Avenue in Ottawa just before 3 p.m., when he collided with a car at the intersection with Kintyre Private.
Ottawa paramedics said the driver of the motorcycle suffered severe head and chest injuries and was transported to the Civic campus of Ottawa Hospital.
Nicolas Ruszkowski, vice-president of communications at the Ottawa Hospital, said he had not received an update on Dr. Chow's status since Sunday evening, when Chow was listed in critical condition.
The elderly woman driving the car was transported to hospital with minor injuries, paramedics said.
Chow, an orthopedic surgeon, has served as a team doctor with the Senators since their debut season in 1992.
"The entire Senators family wishes Dr. Chow a full recovery and our thoughts and support are with him and his family," the team said in a brief statement Sunday.
