Canadian men's national team coach Stephen Hart announced his roster Thursday for the upcoming friendlies against Peru and Honduras.
The team is made up of both veterans and youth, with Paul Stalteri needing just one more appearance to tie the national team record of 82 held by Randy Samuel. On the opposite end of the scale is 19-year-old Adam Straith, who plays his club soccer in Germany for Energie Cottbus.
Toronto FC will be represented by Dwayne De Rosario, Julian De Guzman and Nana Attakora. Defender Dejan Kakovic (DC United) and forward Will Johnson (Real Salt Lake) are the other MLS players called up by Hart.
Hart admitted he tried to bring top prospects David Hoilett and Teal Bunbury on board, but both players said they wanted to focus on securing their club position. Hoilett plays in the Barclays Premier League for Blackburn while Bunbury, who is the son of Canadian great Alex, is in his first year with MLS' Kansas City Wizards.
Both matches will be broadcast live on Sportsnet with the September 4 match kicking off at 5:30pm ET and the September 7 match kicking off at 7:30pm ET.
Canada played two friendlies earlier in May, the first being a 5-0 loss to Argentina before a 1-1 draw with Venezuela a week later.
