The Ottawa Senators signed defenceman Chris Campoli to a one-year contract worth $1.4 million on Friday.
Campoli, 25, was a restricted free agent. He scored four goals and 14 assists in 67 games for the Senators last year in his fifth NHL campaign.
Campoli was acquired along with Mike Comrie from the Islanders in Feb. 2009 in exchange for Dean McAmmond and a 2009 first-round draft pick.
The native of North York, Ontario has 29 goals and 85 assists in 320 career games. He was drafted by the Islanders in the seventh round of the 2004 draft.
