Forward Alex Tanguay is returning to the Calgary Flames, signing a one-year contract with the team on Thursday, according to La Presse.
The 30-year-old Quebec native spent last season with the Tampa Bay Lightning, putting up 10 goals and 27 assists in 80 games.
Tanguay previously spent two seasons in Calgary, putting up 22 goals and 59 assists with the team in 2006-07, an 81-point season that was his most successful campaign in the NHL.
Tanguay was originally selected by the Colorado Avalanche 12th overall in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
