Canadian defender Moïse Bombito is set to have surgery on Thursday to insert a rod into his lower leg to stabilize his broken left tibia, according to TSN's Matthew Scianitti.
Bombito suffered a non-displaced fracture of his left tibia in the second half of Nice's game against Monaco on Sunday.
The 25-year-old had an MRI that confirmed the injury, and is expected to miss the next four to five months of action.
The injury is to the same leg that Bombito sustained a stress fracture in late last season.
A wrist injury also kept him out of Canada's 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup squad.
The Montreal native has made 19 appearances for Canada's men's national team and has started in all of them.
He joined Nice from the Colorado Rapids last year on a deal that runs through 2028.
