{allcanada} Two Senators games postponed because of attendance restrictions in Canada

 

Ottawa Senators games at the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday and at the Winnipeg Jets on Jan. 15 were postponed by the NHL on Friday because of attendance restrictions in Canada cities because of COVID-19.

The NHL said the games would be rescheduled for dates later in the season when such restrictions may be eased or lifted.

There have been 101 games postponed this season because of issues related to COVID-19. Five have been rescheduled.

On Thursday, the NHL announced the game between the Detroit Red Wings and Anaheim Ducks scheduled for that night at Honda Center in Anaheim was postponed because of COVID-19 issues impacting the Ducks. The game has been rescheduled for Sunday at 8 p.m. ET.

Three games were postponed Wednesday because of attendance restrictions in Canadian cities.

The New Jersey Devils had two games postponed: at the Montreal Canadiens on Jan. 15 and at the Toronto Maple Leafs on Jan. 17.

The Chicago Blackhawks at Edmonton Oilers on Jan. 18 was also postponed.

Those games will also be rescheduled for later in the season when restrictions may be eased or lifted.

On Tuesday, the NHL postponed two games and rescheduled three.

The Columbus Blue Jackets at New York Islanders, and the Red Wings at Philadelphia Flyers, each scheduled for Jan. 18, were postponed.

New York at Philadelphia, scheduled for Nov. 30, was rescheduled for Jan. 18 (7 p.m. ET); New York at Toronto, scheduled for Jan. 22, was rescheduled for April 17 (7:30 p.m. ET); and Toronto at New York, scheduled for April 17, was rescheduled for Jan. 22 (7 p.m. ET).
